Kilowattia obtains first place in the nineteenth edition of the National Business Innovation Award, recognized for its Energy Efficiency 4.0 project.

The National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) celebrated the nineteenth edition of the National Business Innovation Award 2025, a recognition that seeks to strengthen and promote greater innovative capacity in Panamanian companies. This contest, which since its creation in 2007 has evaluated nearly 800 proposals, aims to transform knowledge into economic and social development for the country.

In the main category, the company Kilowattia, S.A. won first place thanks to its "Energy Efficiency 4.0" project. This initiative employs artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to manage energy consumption in real time, achieving savings of up to 30% through automated dynamic decisions that do not require human intervention. The system uses sensors and IoT devices strategically installed in customer facilities to continuously process consumption data.

The award delivered a total of B/.67,000.00 among the winners of the business category. The first place received B/.30,000.00, the second place B/.20,000.00, the third place B/.10,000.00, and the finalist companies from fourth to tenth place received B/.1,000.00 each. Since its creation, nearly 800 companies have participated in this award, of which more than 100 have been awarded with innovative proposals in various sectors such as agriculture, health sciences, industry, ICTs, environment, and energy.

Juan Arias, president of the CCIAP, noted: "From the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama, together with Senacyt, we have promoted this award for 19 years because we are convinced that the future of the country is built with companies that compete with quality. More companies that convert talent into results." This recognition represents a significant endorsement of Kilowattia's business model and its mission to democratize access to energy intelligence in Latin America.
